AINU

ainuhistorypic.jpg

In the beginning the Japanese and Ainu were both friendly to each other and had a good trade relationship.  However, the Japanese started to dominate the relationship and started to settle around the Ainu villages, dominating their territory.  The Japanese started to enforce policies that affected the Ainu people.  They were forced to end their language and follow the Japanese laws.  Today, the Ainu are still under the Japanese laws and are being discriminated against.
